Microsoft Releases Anti-Fustration Documentation for Windows Vista
Im wondering, if you have to release instructions on how to open the box containing the instructions, you may have spent too much time engineering your product in the wrong place(s)! Windows Vista box, as well as all the new line of Microsoft software, is some sick excuse for ready made art, methinks. I see it kind of like a joke you have to explain to your audience: if no one laughs and you have to explain why something is funny, that probably means it wasnt very funny in the first place. If you make a box to transport your product (which, as my summer tumblr log on Vista states, is a cantankerous net of fustration on its own), and you have to provide a desktop support system explaining how to open the box, and even implement a rating system for said desktop support system, YOURE MISSING THE POINT OF THE PUNCHLINE, people! As a short disclaimer im at least semi happy that Vista is semi-stable enough now for my personal every day use. Id really still rather have XP tho, imo any features that Vista offers are either a sensless waste of resources (stupid flashy graphical gui crap to try and keep up with Apple), or do the opposite of what is intended (security isnt secure, destroyed my OS this summer with quite a few invasions, at the same time security makes it a pain in the ass for the user having to always hit the “continue” button 4 times whenever you run an application) … eh dont even get me started on Vista’s built in web based support system (90% of the time your solution will be: Windows could not find a solution to your problem). But once u turn off all the mindless, wanton waste of resurces, it isnt a “bad” OS, it just wasnt necessary as its predecessor was perfectly fine (id even go as far as to say its my personal fav OS, and ive watched them evolve since DOS 5.0). Oi MS, do yourself a favor and please stop making me loathe my choice of machine last spring…
:( Anyone have XP with a sata driver on the install disk laying around?
