Rarely do 2012 theories tie in with actual physics. More often than not, tiny scraps of seemingly intelligible ideas are sewn together in a manner that sounds sensible to a reader unfamiliar with modern developments in physics and astronomy. I really have a hard time getting over the fire and brimstone, oh and by the way, the Mayans werent 100% accurate with astronomical positions and movements (being off by so much as one arcsecond on a galactic scale can result in millions of miles in ambiguity).
I expect 2011 to be much like 1999-Y2K, and my prophecies consist of predicting the best to capitalize on all of the hysteria.
Mass extinction events will occur at random, when its way too late, and without any triumphal entry. The humans are not the center of the universe.
